Use of data in voluntary and community organisations

This report from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation assesses the need within voluntary and community organisations for relevant, analysed and well-presented data to support their work tackling poverty.
Financial support for VCOs increasingly depends on evidence of need and success against outcomes. Perhaps not surprisingly, this research indicates that most data use occurs when VCOs are preparing for grant applications. The report includes a good one-page executive summary.
