Merton Music Foundation provides high-quality music education for over 10,000 children and young people in schools, music centres and the local community. Our mission as a charity is to encourage participation, enjoyment and achievement by providing the highest quality learning opportunities in music and the performing arts.
Our operational objectives are based on those of the Music Manifesto:
- To provide every young person with ‘first access’ to a range of quality music experiences and learning;
- To provide more opportunities for young people to deepen and broaden their musical interests and skills;
- To identify and nurture our most talented young musicians;
- To develop a world class workforce in music education;
- To improve the support structures for young people making music.
