The BEARR Trust
Mission Statement
The BEARR Trust was formed in 1991 to act as a bridge between the health and welfare sectors of Britain and the former Soviet Republics. Our priority now is to promote and support co-operation between the voluntary sector in the UK and appropriate partners in Russia and the Region - especially in health and social welfare - with a view to strengthening civil society.
We support organisations committed to reform in the health and social sectors; we facilitate networking and sharing of information, and encourage the sharing of experience and learning; we help organisations working in the region to identify potential partners; we provide seed funding through a small grants scheme to help selected organisations to launch or extend partnerships, and we lobby with and on behalf of organisations that share our aims.
Due Diligence on the Big Give
Donors are advised to conduct their own due diligence prior to giving to a charity. For advice and key questions to ask charities, see Philanthropy UK's advice on giving.
