FOCUS K&C has been set up by local people to generate support for local charities.in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Although this is the richest borough in the UK, the gap between its haves and have nots is disturbingly wide. For example, average life expectancy is only 73 in the north of the Borough, nearly 11 years less than in the south. Most local residents are unaware of these issues, or of the more than 500 local charities addressing them.
Working with donors, FOCUS K&C will ensure that funds are channeled to areas where they will be most effective, monitor grants, provide donors with feedback, offer vehicles for tax efficient giving and help donors engage with charities they support.
