Sue Ryder Care

Mission Statement

Sue Ryder Care is a leading healthcare charity providing expert and compassionate care and support for people living with serious illnesses, as well as their families and loved ones. With your support we can continue to provide care every single day of the year for people living with conditions including cancer, multiple sclerosis, and brain injury.

We are the only charity that specialises in directly caring for people living with long term neurological conditions and for people who are dying. Listening to and supporting their choices, we help enable them to get the best from life - whatever their condition - caring for them in their own homes and communities, in specialist hospices, and in neurological care centres across the UK.

Internationally we support work in 12 other European countries and southern Africa, delivering healthcare where it is desperately needed. To quote our founder, Lady Ryder, in 1953: “This is an international foundation which is devoted to the relief of suffering. Our work is a summons to seek out and face the reality of human suffering and do something about it.”
