CORD

Mission Statement

CORD is an international peace-building and development organisation, working with people affected by violent conflict in Africa and Asia. CORD supports people to rebuild their lives after conflict, and gives them hope and the skills needed to create a sustainable peace in their communities. Since its inception in 1967 in Leamington Spa, CORD has worked in most of the major conflict zones of the world, from Kosovo to Rwanda, Iraq to Afghanistan. CORD focuses on education and livelihoods, helping to develop the capacity of some of the world's most disadvantaged people so they can help themselves. Money invested in CORD is excellent value: of every 100p received, 91p goes direct to the field.
