Clatterbridge Cancer Research
Mission Statement
CLATTERBRIDGE CANCER RESEARCH - UNDERSTANDING CANCER
Clatterbridge Cancer Research understands the disparity of cancer incidence and mortality rates across the country and the simple truth is that if you get cancer in the Merseyside and Cheshire region there is almost a 50% greater chance of you dying than if you live in London.
CCR also understands that there is an absolute correlation between the amount of money going into research and the prognosis of a cancer patient. Put simply, where more money is spent on research, more people survive.
Clatterbridge Cancer Research receives no funding from the NHS, ALL of our income is voluntary. Just to stand still and to continue with the existing research that has already been commissioned, we need to raise in excess of £2 million each year.
Due Diligence on the Big Give
Donors are advised to conduct their own due diligence prior to giving to a charity. For advice and key questions to ask charities, see Philanthropy UK's advice on giving.
