Science Museum
Mission Statement
The Science Museum aims to be the best place in the world to enjoy science.
Since our origins in the Great Exhibition of 1851 the Science Museum has sought to make sense of the science that shapes our lives, using what is arguably the finest and most important collection of scientific and technological objects in the world.
We want to continue to inspire the great minds of the future with world-class exhibitions and collections, and have launched a number of major new gallery projects which will place the Museum at the forefront of public engagement with some of the most important issues facing us all today.
In these challenging times our supporters are more and more important to us. With your help we can harness the potential of our collections, strengthen our role and delight our visitors with truly life-changing experiences.
