Young Concern Trust (YCT)

Mission Statement

We are a small charity based in Harlow, Essex and we aim to provide a free counselling service to young people who live , work, train or go to school in the town and the surrounding areas. We try to work in partnership with other local agencies (both statutory and non-statutory) to provide a seemless support service to young people who are often from very disadvantaged backgrounds. Our fully qualified and professional counsellors help clients to deal with a wide range of presenting issues such as bereavement, relationships, mental health and emotional difficulties, anger management and self-esteem problems. YCT is the only organisation of its type in the town and there is a great deal of unmet need locally that we would like to be able to reduce with greater funding.
