Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research
Mission Statement
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Around 28,500 people of all ages, from babies to grandparents, are diagnosed with a blood cancer every year in the UK.
To give each one of them the best chance of survival, we are fundraising to drive ground-breaking research into improved diagnosis, better treatments and permanent cures. Established in 1960, we now commit over £20 million per annum to support clinicians and scientists in 50 top research centres and hospitals across the UK, working on over 300 projects from basic laboratory research to clinical trials in patients. We also provide a free information service including over 40 up-to-date and easy to understand publications, for patients, their friends and family and medical professionals.
Due Diligence on the Big Give
Donors are advised to conduct their own due diligence prior to giving to a charity. For advice and key questions to ask charities, see Philanthropy UK's advice on giving.
