WellChild - the national UK charity for sick children - helps young people and their families as they deal with the consequences of serious illness and complex conditions. To do this, we focus on three key areas - Care, Support and Research.
For over 30 years, WellChild has been instrumental in improving the treatment and care of sick children across a range of conditions and illnesses including cancer, liver disease, congenital heart disease, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy and rare inherited genetic conditions.
We provide daily practical support for sick children and their families through our WellChild Children's Nurses whilst our researchers work to seek new treatments and improved methods of care and diagnosis for childhood illnesses and diseases. It is our mission is to make far reaching improvements to children's health now and for future generations.
