WRVS

Mission Statement

To help people to maintain independence and dignity in their homes and communities, particularly in later life.

All the services we provide are aimed at keeping people in touch with others, and building stronger local communities. By 2010 we want every older person in the UK to have the opportunity to speak to or see at least one person everyday.

Volunteers play a vital role in everything we do: over 56,000 of them - both men and women - give up their time to help other people and to make life better in their communities. Together with WRVS employees they deliver professional services with a personal touch.
