Mission Statement

NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people

We represent the interests and campaign for the rights of all deaf children and young people from birth until they reach independence.

NDCS believes that the family is the most important influence on a deaf child's development. NDCS supports the deaf child through the family as well as directly supporting deaf children and young people themselves.

Our vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child.

Empowering Families to achieve the best outcomes for their deaf child.
Empowering Deaf children and young people to achieve their true potential.
Innovating World leading family centred services supporting deaf children and their parents.
New approaches to the development of effective communication within the family and other environments.

Challenging Social attitudes which prevent deaf children from reaching their true potential
Challenging Governments to act where necessary

•Every deaf child has the right to the same opportunities as a hearing child
•Every deaf child has the right to be included and valued by society
•Families have the right to make informed choices on behalf of their deaf child and for those choices to be implemented
•Families have the right to clear and balanced information and support, delivered in a way that is accessible to them
