Lifeline Energy
Mission Statement
Our mission is to transform lives through dependable, self-sufficient and environmentally friendly technologies. We strive to provide the poorest of the poor with access to education and information, energy and light. The link between poverty and the lack of access to clean, modern energy is profound. Lack of access is not only a consequence of poverty but a cause of it.
We use wind-up and solar-powered Lifeline radios in most of our work. The Lifeline radio often is a person’s only link to the outside world, and has changed many lives since its launch in 2003. To help meet the need and demand for portable clean energy sources, we are moving into the renewable lighting sector.
