The MSC programme aims to reverse the decline in world fish stocks, to bring about improvements in marine conservation and to help secure the livelihoods of communities that depend on the fishing industry.
Our mission is to use our eco-label and fishery certification programme to contribute to the health of the world’s oceans by recognising and rewarding sustainable fishing practises, influencing the choices people make when buying seafood, and working with our partners to transform seafood markets around the world to a sustainable basis.
